Event Timings
Gates open at 9:57am
The first race will be at 11:57am, with the last race at 3:27pm (pending any divisions).
Entertainment
We’ve got some great entertainment lined up throughout the raceday including the Christmas Grinch, Mrs Claus stilt walkers and illusive mirror people around the racecourse.
Travel
This will be an extremely busy event and we encourage visitors to leave plenty of time to get to the racecourse. You should consider travel arrangements ahead of time.
Parking:
For centre-course (pre-booked) customers, please follow the A27 entrance.
For main car park customers, please use the main entrance. Please be aware this is soft standing parking, operated on a first-come, first-serve basis. We advise car sharing where possible to reduce congestion.
There will be an overflow car park in operation once the main car park is full. Customers should use the west car park off the A27.
Local transport:
As Boxing Day is a public bank holiday, please check all timetables ahead of time as many services will run a reduced timetable or no transport at all.
There will be no trains in operation.
The 500 bus will not be running.
Shuttle bus service:
There will be a free shuttle bus in operation to and from Ormiston Six Villages Academy, Lime Avenue, Westergate, PO20 3UE and the racecourse. Free car parking is available at the school on a first-come, first-serve basis, capped at 100 parking spaces. The car park is open 9:00-17:00, with the first bus departing Ormiston at 9:30. The last bus from Fontwell Park will depart at 17:00.
The bus will also pick up from the local stops between Lime Avenue and Fontwell Avenue on the way.
Before Arriving
We kindly ask those with pre-ordered tickets have them ready to scan on arrival, to help the flow of visitors coming into the racecourse.
Weather
Please check the local forecast before departing and dress accordingly. We strongly suggest you wrap up warm and wear appropriate footwear. We encourage all racegoers to regularly check the weather forecast.
Security
We take security and safety very seriously. There will be a strong security presence and you will be subject to a bag search on arrival.
We ask all visitors not to leave their bags unattended and to report anything suspicious to a member of staff.
