24 June 2026

Fashion, racing and entertainment will combine for one of the most glamorous events in the Sussex summer calendar as Fontwell Park Racecourse's popular Ladies Evening returns on Friday 28 August.

Featuring an evening of thrilling racing, a prestigious Style Awards competition, a spectacular drone show and a live Take That tribute performance, the event promises an unforgettable night out for friends, families and racegoers alike.

At the heart of the celebrations will be the much-anticipated Style Awards, which recognise the best dressed racegoers that showcase creativity, confidence and individual style.

This year's judging panel brings together a wealth of fashion and style expertise, including Stephanie Ridge, owner of luxury wellness destination Glorious Spa, award-winning milliner Jeanette XXX of Sea Horse Millinery, and stylist Amber Jackson, founder of Amber Style Edit and a regular fashion contributor on ITV's This Morning.

Adding to the excitement, Glorious Spa is supporting the Style Awards with an exclusive luxury prize package for the winner, offering the ultimate opportunity to relax, unwind and indulge at one of their local salons.

Racegoers are encouraged to embrace the occasion, whether that means elegant dresses, statement hats, tailored suits or contemporary race-day style.

Stephanie Ridge, owner of Glorious Spa, said:

"Ladies Evening is the perfect opportunity to celebrate confidence, style and self-expression, so we're thrilled to be supporting this year's Style Awards. We can't wait to see the incredible outfits on display and are delighted to be offering a luxury prize for the winner."

Alongside seven exciting races, visitors can enjoy a vibrant atmosphere throughout the evening before staying on after the final race for a live Take That tribute performance featuring all the hits from one of Britain's most-loved pop acts.

Guy Pridie, Director of Fontwell Park Racecourse said:

"Ladies Evening is always one of the highlights of our racing calendar. It's a fantastic opportunity for people to dress up, enjoy a glamorous evening with friends and experience all the excitement of live racing.

This year’s entertainment is set to be equally as impressive. Take That remain one of Britain's most successful and enduring pop groups, so we're delighted to be bringing the magic of their greatest hits to Fontwell with a fantastic live tribute show.”

The entertainment continues with a special DJ set from V2 Radio presenter Gary Booker, keeping the party going before the evening culminates in a spectacular drone show, lighting up the night sky above Fontwell Park and providing a memorable finale to the celebrations.

New for 2026, racegoers looking to elevate their Ladies Evening experience can book access to The Horsewalk Lounge, an exclusive hospitality area offering the perfect blend of style, comfort and race-day excitement.

Located beside the Parade Ring, The Horsewalk Lounge includes admission, a raceday programme, street food from Feast Street, and two hours of bottomless beer, wine, prosecco and soft drinks from gates opening. Guests can also enjoy access to a relaxed indoor-outdoor lounge space complete with festoon lighting, deckchairs, straw bales, garden games, convenient betting facilities and a prime location just moments from both the horses and the racing action.

Whether attending for the racing, the fashion, the entertainment or simply a great evening out, Ladies Evening offers the perfect excuse to gather friends, dress to impress and enjoy a summer night of glamour and fun.

Located on the southern tip of the South Downs National Park, there are lots of different ways to travel to Fontwell Park Racecourse. When we asked Mike Parcej, a friend of the racecourse and passionate horse racing fan, here's what he had to say:

"The nearest railway station is Barnham, which is two miles away. The racecourse is served by an excellent bus service linking Chichester and Littlehampton, which stops at both Barnham station and the racecourse. The number 500 bus service departs every 30 minutes from Chichester starting at 6.25am, and from Littlehampton every 30 mins starting at 5.35am."
